We want to see thousands of children and their families introduced to a lifelong relationship with Jesus!
But as well as that we want each of them to be able to engage with and join a local church where they’ll receive the follow-up discipleship!
Our heart is that the family fun zone people will find onsite in Wythenshawe Park from 1 – 3 July would be ‘heaven on earth’ for children and their families to have a blast together and experience the life-changing message of the gospel alongside other activities and performances.
Here’s how we’re going make this happen!
Festival Manchester Soul Children Choirs
We’re already building capacity for a 1,000 voice Soul Children mass choir to perform on the main stage during each night of the festival. Over three nights, this means between 1,000 and 3,000 different kids (and their families) joining in. Rehearsals will happen throughout the day in the family fun zone, alongside other activities and performances. Once the festival is over, there is scope to launch 10 new Soul Children choirs across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, who will continue to gather weekly for even more music, faith and fun.
Primary Schools Campaign
There are over 700 primary schools in Greater Manchester and we’re promoting the festival, teaching songs and establishing on-going relationships with Christian teachers, headteachers and choir leaders. To reach as many people as possible we’re looking to get connected with primary schools – can you help us? Check out the video below to find out more.
Family Fun Zone
We plan for the family fun zone to have a dedicated volunteer team delivering everything you’d expect from a fun family day out, as well as a packed programme of dynamic events happening on the family fun zone stage.
